The anniversary takes place around the end of February at 11.00 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint Valentine in Terni. All Italian and foreign couples take part who celebrate 50 years of marriage within the current year; the ceremony consists of a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Bishop of the City and with the presence of the Mayor. At the end of the ceremony, a personalized parchment is handed out, a keepsake of this day to the couples in attendance.
The presence of couples who celebrate Platinum wedding anniversaries in the current year is also very welcome.
