Inside the Basilica of Saint Valentine, on the lower level, a small Museum has been set up, where some archaeological finds dating back to Roman times have been placed. In the 16th century, on the occasion of the discovery of the Sacred Body, a marble chest was found with inside some remains attributable to the Martyr of Terni. Some finds were also discovered, originally belonging to the ancient cemetery of Saint Valentine.
In the Museum there are numerous 2nd-century A.D. inscriptions, marble chests, Doric columns and a small dry-stone wall from the original cemetery, first pagan and then Christian, of Saint Valentine.
The Museum is opened to pilgrims and visitors on the occasion of visits to the Basilica.
