Lake Piediluco is the second largest lake in Umbria after Lake Trasimeno, on its shores stands the village of Piediluco. The lake is located at an altitude of 375 meters, with a maximum depth of 19 meters. It rises from the Velino River and is connected to the Nera River through the Marmore Falls.

The typical Umbrian landscape develops around it, made up of millenary villages in the distance and evergreen hills. Here is the seat of the Italian Rowing Federation named after Paolo D'Aloja who gave considerable impetus to the birth of the Piediluco Nautical Center.

 

Numerous sports are practiced in Lake Piediluco, from sailing to water skiing, from walking with canoes to surfing. In the village there are numerous restaurants with typical local dishes, night clubs and a continuous stroll along the main street of the village of Piediluco. It is also possible to walk the entire north-east coast through a path located on its banks that connects the numerous and main beaches of the lake.
